of the Society Foundation: 3 January1979 under the name Société de Biospéologie, as one of the most representative French Scientific Societies concerned by karst areas, caves and subterranean habitats. Evolution towards a European then an International Scientific Society during 1980-2000. International Biospeleological Society since 2000 under the name of Société Internationale de Biospéologie - International Society for Subterranean Biology. |

to become a member !
Anyone aiming to become a regular member of the
Société Internationale de Biospéologie -
International Society for Subterranean Biology has to simply send
a request for candidature either to the President or to the General-Secretary,
or to any member of the Council of the Society.
The new candidate is invited to send his request via simple mail
or e-mail.
The new candidate is invited to send his complete address, telephone,
e-mail, and the topics related to subterranean biology in which
he is involved. To this document is joined a short curriculum
vitae including age, position and interests of the candidate.
The candidature is registered by the General-Secretary and forwarded
to the members of the Council.
The new member is informed and is therefore invited to send his
subscription to the Treasurer.
